Fortunately, handyman knew how to reconnect the bottom conduit so it wouldn't fall off again
I switched cell phone service provider and purchased a new phone. Tech support for new provider called to help me activate new phone. New phone was downstairs, so I went downstairs.
But I don't have coverage with my original provider downstairs, so I went back upstairs so I could receive numeric security code.
Next I had to sign electronic consent form. Upstairs PC had died, so went back downstairs to the spare PC to sign and send.
Next came the phone setup. Had to go back upstairs so I could hear the instructions. Boy, did I get exercise!
Printer died, I purchased a new one. Completed setup, now ready to connect to PC. Google results say can connect using USB, and I have a cable but where do I plug it in ??
This time I'm calling on cordless home phone. Tech support rep can't hear me, so I try walking toward transceiver. Every couple of steps I check, no luck. Finally, tech support can hear me after I've stepped out of the room. But now I can't see the printer.
Kudos to tech support for getting me to look in the right place: I had been looking for a connection in the back. DUH !!! It was in a well on the side and easy to see when I stood in front of the printer.
